It was a very exciting day; on my 999th birthday my cousin Pepper Minstix arranged me a job with Father Xmas. Now you know old I am today - if you know how old Father Xmas is!My very first trip with Santa was to the island of Lesvos, today known as Lesbos, Greece's third biggest island. I had been there before. That's where I saw her. Everybody loved her; the poet Sappho. I secretly fell in love with her but my wishes were not to be. She loved another, the wealthy Cercylas, with whom she had her daughter Cleis. Sadly, she would eventually commit suicide for the love of another man, Phaon the ferryman. I can't remember the exact date but it was somewhere around 570BC.
The people from Lesbos, known as Lesbians, are the friendliest in all of Greece. They know how to appreciate life. I love Lesbians. In fact, I love everybody!
