Busy, busy! We haven't been this busy for about 100 years. Last time (1929), same thing happened. Changes to the Xmas orders. Mostly to smaller gifts, lots of cancellations. But the biggest efforts actually go into orders 10 times bigger than initially placed. Those mostly came from the bankers who recently got walkout bonuses from the bail-outs: Ferraris for the kids, diamonds [even though they have little resell value] for the mistresses, holiday homes on faraway tax-free islands, suchlike stuff.Of course, we here at Santa's secret village feel very, very sad for the kiddies who won't be getting a Xmas gift this year, not even a Christmas cracker. As for the others... the only line that comes to mind is that from a Bob Dylan song, "Steal a little and they lock you up; steal a lot and they make you king."
