The second greatest fear

Soon either John McCain or Barack Obama is going to be overcome by a tremendous sense of failure. For although only death is feared more than failure, the latter is heartbreaking but need not be lethal. Indeed, as JK Rowling sums it up:

"It is impossible to live without failing at something, unless you live so cautiously that you might as well not have lived at all - in which case, you fail by default."
