China's richest man not here

Huang Guangyu, aka Wong Kwong Yu, China's richest man, has mysteriously disappeared. According to an article in the New York Times he was detained last week for questioning over stock scandals but now can not be located. It is thought that he won't get far but at only 39 years old/young he probably still has legs on him (as in: he can run far). Trade in stocks in his Gome Electrical Appliance Holdings company has been suspended, says The Times. They also mention that he is a devout christian and some even think that he is here in Lapland but I can tell you now that China's richest man is not here.

Billionaires tend to have sort of odd tales; behind each billionaire there is a story which you can follow easily at The Billionaire List. Even so, people should not worry too much because there are still many billionaires left in China even though that number has more than halved recently, ala Forbes. And if you're really interested, Wikipedia has a whole big list of famous missing persons. Castles of Spirits actually has a complete section that explains some strange disappearances and things about people vanishing into thin air.
